Spiritual
Spirituality is a lot of things to a lot of people. At a basic level, spirituality implies a belief that there is more to being human than our tactile experience. Religion is a frame of reference, sometimes a doctrine or set of rules that is required to be a member of an organization. Knowing the difference between spiritual and religious is key to experiencing the difference. The goal of spiritual work is to help you define your spirituality that is grounded, experienced and fluid all at the same time.
Spiritual growth follows psychological growth; they overlap in some ways however psychological awareness & healing is the first phase of living into your spiritual Self.
If you want to inhabit the person you were born to be, you have to have faith and confidence in the person you are. Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to find faith and confidence in You. Spirituality offers the framework for being the purpose-filled Self you were born to be.
Until one is able to embrace what is right about their self and acknowledge their growth edges; Until one is able to like their self and admit to their limitations;
Until one is able and willing to face their full self;
Until one is willing to discover the unconscious beliefs that govern their life;
Until one is willing to do the work to rework their daily life;
Until all of these are incorporated into one’s life spiritual growth will likely be merely a momentary, emotional experience that fades when confronting life’s rough edges.
