Therapy isn’t just a set of techniques that you learn and implement. Therapy is a lot of minor and a few major adjustments that result in a life well lived.

The goal of therapy is for you to not need to be in therapy. However, be aware that sessions held every other week amount to 26 per year. If we miss a session or two due to vacations or other reasons then it is now 24 sessions which is 24 hours in a year. So, in one year you have completed one day of therapy…that’s actually encouraging because in one year you may be able to deal with a lifetime of stuff that’s accumulated.

What to expect

When you first call for an appointment, we will schedule a time that is most convenient for you.

Office hours are Monday – Wednesday 10:00am – 8:00pm, Thursday 4:00pm – 8:00pm

Sessions are usually 50 minutes in length.

Prior to your initial session you should complete intake forms. Completing forms ahead of your initial session will move you more efficiently into the counseling process.

During your first intake appointment, we will discuss some of your history and background information. Often this process is a bit like dumping puzzle pieces onto the table. Together we identify relevant pieces of your life forming a framework to help determine the direction of your sessions.

We will work together to come up with both short-term and long-term goals for your counseling journey.
