What can I expect to get out of therapy?
Psychotherapy provides a framework for creating courage and confidence. Persistence gets you to confidence. It takes courage to begin the process of uncovering what weighs you down. Persistence is necessary to identify the pieces of the puzzle that is life – your life. Confidence places those pieces on the table – metaphorically. Seeing those metaphoric puzzle pieces in a new way allows you to understand how you got where you are and helps you determine where you want to be. Well-being, contentment on the inside is the result on courage and confidence.
Life can be messy…you don’t have to be.
The goal of therapy is to not need to be in therapy. That being said, it takes more than a couple of hour sessions to work through most things. As with any endeavor, you get out of therapy what you put in.
Always discuss your goals, your intentions with the therapist.
What types of therapy do you offer?
Homework isn’t a part of my methodology though I will offer recommendations that might offer additional insight.
My approach isn’t me casually listening, affirming and note taking; this is me deeply listening to what is said, what isn’t said; sometimes asking questions about what is between conscious and unconscious awareness.

How long does it take to feel better?
Sometimes, making the appointment is the first moment of relief – because you may have been putting it off for some time. Some people experience a sense of relief after the first session – because when you’ve been holding something for a while and finally get to put it down there is relief. For some, it takes few sessions to feel the shift that therapy can provide.
How can I know if we are good match?
That’s a great question…it’s important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. The best way to know if we are a good match is a short conversation between you and the therapist to get a feel for each other. Usually, we can determine if we are a good match after a brief conversation. Please feel free to request a free 15-min consultation by contacting me online or calling (770) 598-4034.
